Katja House was established to give the street children of Kathmandu the basic priviledges that we believe children should enjoy around the world. In particular, we are organized with the following United Nations childrens’ rights as a goal:

“The child shall enjoy special protection, and shall be given opportunities and facilities … to enable him to develop physically, mentally, morally, spiritually and socially in a healthy and normal manner and in conditions of freedom and dignity.”

“The child is entitled to receive education.”
